Faith and Science: Environmental Stewardship was part of the Faith and Science Lecture Series organized by The ITE Project, a Catholic young adult mission in the Cleveland Diocese. Molly Burhans spoke alonside Dr. Greg Hitzhusen, an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in Religion, Ecology, and Sustainability at The Ohio State University (OSU) School of Environment and Natural Resources, and Father Dominic Gideon, a priest in the Diocese of Cleveland with a deep focus on the theology of environmentalism and its application in moral life. They provided insights on how the Catholic faith can inspire and guide sustainable practices, focusing on the role of faith communities in environmental stewardship, climate solutions, and conservation. Following the speakers talks they joined a group of panelists who addressed the scientific, ethical, and practical aspects of environmental care, while emphasizing the spiritual dimension of stewardship within the Catholic tradition.
