Tablet Autumn Festival – on the road to COP26
The Tablet, UK

Christopher Lamb, the Tablet’s Rome Correspondent, moderated talks by Sr Alessandra Smerilli (interim secretary of the Vatican’s dicastery for human development) on the Holy See’s work on the environment and hopes for the COP26 summit, Victoria Tauli-Corpuz (former UN Special Rapporteur on the Right of Indigenous people), and Molly Burhans (the Founder of Goodlands; “Young Champion of the Earth” of the United Nations), focused on how the Catholic Church can mobilize to use her land for good and help indigenous people. This was part of a one-day line-up of live webinars to discuss what is at stake at the UN climate summit in Glasgow.
