Lowell Gray ’78 Lecture

Lowell Gray Community Time
Trinity High School

The Lowell Gray ’78 Lecture was established in memory of Lowell Gray, Trinity Class of 1978. A brilliant innovator and entrepreneur, Lowell is remembered fondly by his classmates for not only his academic excellence, but for the grace and kindness he demonstrated toward all he met in his daily life. This annual talk brings dynamic speakers specializing in Science and Mathematics – subjects in which Lowell excelled while a student at Trinity – to Community Time with current Trinity Upper School students. The object is to enrich their academic experience and model, through the speakers’ work, the character and kind spirit for which Lowell will always be remembered. Burhans shared her work in environmental sustainability and technology, connecting it with Lowell’s values of grace and innovation and empowering ways students can use what they are learning in STEM subjects to make the world a more vibrant, better, and kinder place to live for everyone.
